You'd have to come up with your own name. Just think of something that you like, and make up words... just keep on doing it until you find something you like. My monk was made without much thought - Luca Os Shadowseer.

I'm a bit OCD about names, so I usually think too hard for too long about them.

i.e. My monk's name is Sol Etherborne. That came about from my concept of a Monk being a character of light, and of filling the voids of the battle worn world with light and purity.

Sol = Sun in Latin.
Ether = the medium supposed by the ancients to fill the upper regions of space.
-borne = I thought it'd be cool if he was born of ether rather than a product of human reproduction. Kind of adds to the whole purity thing. The extra 'e' was just... flashy? Dunno.

If you're unavoidably compulsive about naming, you could try to jot down some conceptions of what makes a monk a monk. Write some descriptors - anything that comes to mind. thesaurus(dot)com and ancient languages are my friends at that point.

While my Monks name is incredibly simple, there is one (albeit painstaking) way to make a great name, and that is to engineer a name that fits the game culture the character is from.

WARNING THIS IS MOST CERTAINLY TL; with a possible DR

Most names have a different sound and structure depending on the area they are from, so pick out where your character is from and start from there. Lets say Ascalon for old times sake.

Ascalon is a medival fantasy style english/normand/germanic culture with names that have short hard sounds to them, check out npc names on the for help. For one of my characters I felt a R start with a N seemed good, I chose Rolan, the named seem to fit an Ascalon to me.

The last name of the character would depend on theculture as well, and how that culture made up its surnames. The Ascalon names are pretty easy becuase being from a primarily Anglo-Saxon culture I am used to a wide variety of names. I know that most last names are very simple, and where often used to cimply distinguish between people in small towns and villages and was then spread to a larger extent. For example: Smith (was a smith) ; Johnson (was John's son); so the names where meant to distinguish people by personal or other specific characteristics.

I then tried to think about what an old name from a place like Ascalon would be, some kind of personal characteristic that would have been made into a name. I ended up coming up with Estyerand. I imagined a family living in the far east of some region, and thus was known as the ones from the "east end" Ester is an old english term for east, and Estyr just seems more "fantasyish", and the 'and' istead of "end" again flows better and seems more "fantasyish".

So Rolan Esteryand is an average male name from Ascalon, his ancestors were probably the orignal pioneers of Eastern Ascalon (or perhaps the east side of a river, or other landmark), and his parents picked a somewhat common name that they liked.

I wish I could go back and rename my monk this way, however my monk is Canthan, and I would have a much harder time making a Canthan sounding name.

Anyways here is my very overdone way of naming characters if you want them to sound more beleivable as an actual character in-game.

Either that or rhyme your name with Monk and make a funny name, Chunk the Monk, Hunk of a Monk, Monk Punk, Funky Monky, etc.

Cheers!

Mine's Brother Kaii. What I usually do is check the game structure and see how the NPCs in Guild Wars get their names. They often have a certain prefix, like 'Brother' for Monks (Brother Mehnlo etc.). The same goes for most other classes, my own Dervish character, for example, being Acolyte Gaiya (Earth Prayers, catch the link? Named after most NPC Dervishes who seem to have the 'Acolyte' prefix) and my Paragon being Commander Phareon.

So what I suggest is, just think of a nice prefix and then come up with a name out of the blue to stick behind. That usually makes for nice name combos. Try 'Healer Kinla' or 'Brother Ranson'... something along those lines. Alternatively, 'Sister' is an obvious substitute for 'Brother' if your Monk happens to be of the better sex.

Perhaps it helps inspire you.
